Tom Masterton
Person-centred therapy for complex grief, substance misuse, and making sense of difficult relationships.
Tom works from a person-centred, relational perspective, with a focus on creating a space where clients feel able to explore their experiences openly and at their own pace.

Before training as a therapist, he spent over a decade working in social services and has been shaped by a broad range of life experiences, including travel and an interest in how culture, background, and belief influence identity. This informs a way of working that is open, thoughtful, and grounded in genuine curiosity about each person’s story.

He has particular experience supporting people affected by narcissistic abuse, substance misuse, complex grief, and the impact of early life adversity. Alongside this, he works in a neuro-affirmative way, recognising and respecting different ways of experiencing and processing the world.

Tom brings a calm and steady presence, offering both acceptance and gentle honesty where helpful. His focus is not simply on addressing specific difficulties, but on helping clients make sense of their experiences and develop a clearer, more stable sense of themselves over time.
